LegitScript Certified

ICON Anti-Aging & Aesthetics is LegitScript certified. LegitScript certification means our telehealth and prescription program practices have been independently reviewed for compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.

Prescription Policy & Eligibility

Weight loss medications, including GLP-1 medications, are prescription-only medicines. A prescription is issued only if, after reviewing your completed medical intake, health history, and required laboratory work, a licensed physician determines that treatment is safe and clinically appropriate for you. Completing a consultation does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed.

Laboratory testing is required before beginning therapy, and periodic follow-up visits and labs are required to continue it. Our physicians may decline to prescribe, adjust your dose, or discontinue treatment at any time based on your health status.

About Compounded Medications

When a compounded medication is prescribed as part of your program, it is prepared by a state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved: the FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed. Your physician will discuss whether an FDA-approved product or a compounded preparation is appropriate for your treatment plan.

Important Safety Information

The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal discomfort, particularly when starting therapy or increasing your dose. Less common but serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney problems, and low blood sugar when combined with certain other medications.

GLP-1 medications carry a boxed warning regarding thyroid C-cell tumors observed in rodent studies. Do not use these medications if you or a family member have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2. These medications should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to become pregnant. Always share your complete medical history and current medications with your physician.

Availability, Pricing & Refills

Telehealth weight loss services are available to patients located in states where our physicians hold an active medical license. In-person care is available at our Birmingham and Rochester, Michigan locations.

There are no memberships, subscriptions, or recurring charges. All pricing is presented transparently before any purchase, and you purchase exactly what is prescribed — nothing renews automatically. When you need a refill, a new prescription is issued only after appropriate physician review, which may include a follow-up visit or updated lab work. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy, available on request and at the time of purchase.
