  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising and swelling.

  • Mild redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, or pinpoint bleeding may occur.
  • Multiple treatments may be recommended for best results.
  • Results develop gradually over weeks to months.
  • Possible risks include bruising, swelling, infection, temporary irritation, and rare pigment changes or scarring. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

Subcision

  • Subcision is a minimally invasive procedure used to release tethered acne scars and improve skin texture by breaking fibrotic bands beneath the skin.
  • Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs, fish oil, and blood thinners for 5–7 days when medically appropriate.
  • Avoid treatment if pregnant, breastfeeding, sick, or with active skin infections.
  • Arrive with clean skin and no makeup.

Neurotoxin (Tox)

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising and swelling.

  • Neurotoxins at ICON are commonly used for wrinkle prevention, facial balancing, brow lift, jawline slimming, lip flip, gummy smile correction, chin dimpling, platysma bands, masseter treatment, facial slimming, and excessive sweating treatments.

IV Therapy

  • Eat a meal and drink plenty of water before your appointment to help reduce dizziness, nausea, or lightheadedness.
  • Avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol before treatment, as dehydration may increase side effects.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the arms.
  • Please notify your provider of all medications, supplements, allergies, and medical conditions prior to treatment.
  • Mild bruising, soreness, coolness, or irritation at the IV site can occur and usually resolves quickly.
  • Certain IV ingredients may temporarily cause flushing, warmth, metallic taste, nausea, chest tightness, or abdominal cramping depending on the formulation and infusion rate.
  • NAD+ infusions in particular may cause temporary nausea, flushing, chest tightness, or stomach discomfort if infused too quickly — your provider may slow the infusion rate for comfort.
  • Stay hydrated after treatment to maximize benefits and reduce fatigue or headaches.
  • Avoid treatment if pregnant, breastfeeding, actively sick, or experiencing an active infection unless cleared by your provider.
  • Please notify us if you have kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, asthma, seizure disorders, G6PD deficiency, or prior reactions to IV therapy.
  • IV therapy at ICON may be customized for hydration, recovery, immune support, energy, skin health, antioxidant support, metabolism, athletic recovery, wellness optimization, and adjunctive support with hormone or weight loss programs.
  • Treatment times vary depending on the infusion selected and your customized treatment plan.
  • If you are prone to fainting during blood draws or IV placement, please notify your provider before treatment begins.

Lip Filler

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising and swelling.
  • Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, fish oil, vitamin E, garlic supplements, ginkgo, turmeric, and other blood thinners for 5–7 days if medically safe and approved by your prescribing physician.

Chemical Peel (VI Peel / BioRePeel)

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks before treatment.
  • Wear SPF 30+ daily and reapply throughout the day leading up to your appointment.
  • Stop retinoids, tretinoin, retinol, exfoliants, acids, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, and other active products 5–7 days before treatment.
  • Avoid waxing, threading, depilatory creams, laser treatments, RF microneedling, chemical peels, and aggressive facials in the treatment area for at least 1–2 weeks before treatment.
  • Do not exfoliate or use facial scrubs for 1 week before treatment.

Liposuction & Body Contouring (Awake Lipo, FaceTite, BodyTite, Renuvion, Quantum RF)

  • Complete all required labs, medical clearance forms, medications, and consent paperwork prior to your procedure.
  • Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, fish oil, vitamin E, garlic supplements, ginkgo, turmeric, and other blood thinners for 10–14 days before surgery unless otherwise instructed by your prescribing physician.
  • Arnica may be started as early as 2 weeks before your procedure to help minimize bruising and swelling.
  • Avoid nicotine, smoking, vaping, and marijuana for at least 4 weeks before and after surgery, as this significantly affects healing and skin tightening results.
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before your procedure.
  • Stay extremely well hydrated in the days leading up to surgery.
  • Eat a light meal before arriving unless instructed otherwise by your provider.
  • If anxiety medication or oral sedation is prescribed, you must have a responsible adult drive you home.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing and easy slip-on shoes the day of your procedure.
  • Do not wear jewelry, makeup, lotion, self tanner, or fragrances on the treatment area.
  • Lymphatic massage is required after surgery and should be scheduled within 3 days of your procedure to help optimize healing, drainage, swelling, and results.
  • Bruising, swelling, drainage, numbness, firmness, asymmetry, and soreness are normal parts of healing and may persist for weeks to months.
  • Renuvion is used at ICON to assist with skin tightening and collagen remodeling after fat removal, but final skin tightening results continue improving over several months.
  • Please notify us of any history of blood clots, bleeding disorders, anesthesia complications, autoimmune disease, poor wound healing, hernias, prior body contouring surgery, or implanted medical devices.

Hyaluronidase (Filler Dissolving)

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising and swelling.
  • Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, fish oil, vitamin E, garlic supplements, ginkgo, turmeric, and other blood thinners for 5–7 days if medically safe and approved by your prescribing physician.

  • Filler dissolving is commonly performed using hyaluronidase to break down hyaluronic acid filler and may be used for migration, asymmetry, overfilling, lumps, swelling, vascular concerns, or to reset facial balancing.
  • Swelling after dissolving is very common and may temporarily make the area appear uneven before fully settling.
  • Multiple dissolving sessions may occasionally be needed depending on the amount and type of filler present.
  • Some natural hyaluronic acid in the skin may also be temporarily affected during the dissolving process.

BBL + Moxi Combination

  • Eat a meal and drink plenty of water before your appointment to help reduce lightheadedness or nausea.
  • Avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol before treatment, as dehydration may increase side effects.
  • Please notify your provider of all medications, supplements, allergies, and medical conditions prior to treatment.
  • Some injections and IV therapies may temporarily cause flushing, warmth, nausea, cramping, dizziness, or mild irritation at the injection site.
  • NAD+ treatments in particular may cause temporary chest tightness, nausea, abdominal discomfort, or flushing if infused too quickly — your provider may adjust the infusion rate for comfort.
  • Lipo-Mino injections may increase energy and metabolism support, while B12 is commonly used for energy, focus, and fatigue support.
  • Glutathione is commonly used for antioxidant support, detoxification support, skin brightening, and overall wellness support.
