All liposuction and body contouring procedures are performed at ICON's Birmingham flagship, 555 S Old Woodward Ave, Suite 700, Birmingham, MI 48009, which houses our surgical suite. Consultations are available at both Birmingham and Rochester, and virtually.

Is awake liposuction safe?

Awake liposuction avoids the risks of general anesthesia entirely and is performed with local tumescent anesthesia. Dr. Zayid has performed more than 1,000 such procedures in-office. Candidacy is confirmed at your consultation.

What areas can be treated?

Abdomen, flanks, back, arms, thighs, chin and neck, and more. ICON's signature Ballerina Arms and Hourglass techniques target the arms and waist specifically.

How long is recovery?

Most patients return to work within a few days, wearing compression for the first weeks. Final contour settles over about three months.
